2023 , Newport, the timepiece launched in 1988 by French watchmaker HERBELIN, celebrates its 35th anniversary. To mark this significant date for the iconic collection, the brand unveils the Newport Chronograph Automatic 35th Anniversary Edition. While remaining identical to the original model in terms of colour code – silver, gold, blue – this timepiece has been subtly redesigned to bring it right up to date. Released as a limited edition of 350 numbered pieces worldwide. This Chonograph is powered by a Swiss-made automatic (Sellita SW510) 27 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour “Herbelin”- engraved oscillating weight 62-hour power reserve is protected by a 316L stainless steel 42mm case with polished yellow gold PVD coating and a brushed stainless steel bezel with a tachymeter scale. The sapphire crystal transparent screw-on caseback creates a sapphire crystal glass box effect. The design respects the aesthetic essence of the Newport of 1988 while adapting it for the modern era. French watchmaking expertise passed down from father to son for 75 years.
